Matt graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a Bsc (hons) degree in sports science in 1996. Using the skills gained from this degree and other courses he began working as a personal trainer and sports therapist, working with private clients and for West Bromwich Albion FC.
In 1998 he started working as a trainer in an exercise rehabilitation gym at Holly Cottage chiropractic clinic in Sutton Coldfield. As a result of his time there he decided to retrain as chiropractor at the University of Surrey.
Matt now practices a mixture of diversified and sacro-occipital chiropractic techniques with an aim not only to improve a person’s musculoskeletal health but their general health also. Therefore, he also uses his knowledge of exercise prescription/rehabilitation, sports therapy and nutrition to help his patients achieve their goals. He is still involved in football treating players from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Walsall and Kidderminster Harriers, as well as treating competitors from various other sports such as cycling, running, triathlon and martial arts.
Matt is married to Anna and has a young son Joe who keeps him rather busy. When he does have time Matt is an avid cyclist and runner himself and is hoping to compete in cycling sportive and triathlons next year.
